John Grimmer II
John Grimmer II is the President of Grimmer Industries. He is also Operations Manager at Hurricane's sister company ANGI International in Milton, Wisconsin. In this role, he oversees engineering, manufacturing and materials.
John initially started at GrimmerSchmidt in 1978 working in various departments. One year after GrimmerSchmidt was sold; he started his own manufacturing software consulting company. He rejoined Grimmer Industries in 2003 and worked as Operations Manager at the Franklin, Indiana facility until relocating his family to Wisconsin.
John is a graduate of Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana and in his spare time he enjoys biking, swimming and cooking.
Tom Grimmer
As Vice President of Grimmer Industries, Tom Grimmer oversees Production, Purchasing, Research and Development and Engineering for Hurricane and GrimmerSchmidt Compressors. He focuses on continued improvements by implementing World Class Manufacturing processes such as lean manufacturing practices and providing the latest technology for design with 3D CAD software. Tom’s 20 years with the Company has allowed hands on experience in every department. He attended Indiana University and Indiana University Purdue University at Indianapolis. Although spending time with his family is a priority, he still maintains his avid golfer status.
Richard Baker
Richard Baker, President of Hurricane Compressors, played a significant part of what Hurricane is today. After 2 years at Texas Tech studying Veterinary Medicine, Richard started as a welder in 1968, one year after GrimmerSchmidt Compressors was incorporated in El Paso, Texas. He moved with the company to Franklin, Indiana in 1970 as the Manufacturing Manager.
In 1980, Richard opened the GrimmerSchmidt Western Division in Grand Junction, Colorado where the first booster was ordered. He then assumed the Sales and Service Manager position in 1985 at the Franklin, Indiana plant.
After GrimmerSchmidt was sold in 1993, Richard stayed with Hurricane Compressors and remained a force behind the high pressure and booster product lines. Richard enjoys golf, fishing and hunting and will always be a Texan at heart.
Philip Searcy
Philip Searcy is the Engineering Manager of Grimmer Industries. Philip oversees scheduling and management for products of Hurricane Compressors and GrimmerSchmidt Compressors. He is also the project manager and design engineer for Hurricane and continues to develop the Hurricane product line. Prior to joining Hurricane Compressors in 1995, Philip was the Project Detailer at Maxon Corporation. He has a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Ball State University. Philip enjoys fishing and working on antique machinery in his spare time.
